Next step in the conversion of the post boxes from rusting urinals to useful shop/service counter.
We started by scraping off all the previous paint that was peeling off due to the rusting process. After most rust and loose paint was removed we continues to use a a grinder and steel brushes to remove any excess rust.
A base layer of primer was then applied to all surfaces of post box A. This proved to be quite a challenge to paint upside down ;)
It was a very valuable experience. One of the community members identified himself as a painter and decided that he would be "Paint Boss" for the duration of the project.
We were taught how best to use the resources we had: limited buckets, paintbrushes and rollers
He was very eager to teach any of us on the best way to paint, allowing for smooth finish!
